First Micro Health Insurance Project For Cambodian Garment Workers
Phnom Penh, Cambodia
HIP is a micro-Health insurance Project for Cambodian Garment workers. HIP has 2 objectives: - Securing workers income by limiting the catastrophic expenses linked to health events, - Preparing the health component of the Cambodian Social Security (NSSF) to be implemented in 2012 HIP costs 1.6 USD per member per month, shared between employers and employees and covers all medical services from basic health care to complicated surgeries in the public health facilities of Phnom Penh and the surroundings.
